Our 75th season is starting. Gold in the Hills, the Guinness Book of World Records' longest-running show, is having another exciting season in March and July 2010, with performances Friday and Saturday nights starting at 7:30 pm.

Fun for the whole family. Sing the old songs! Cheer the hero! Boo the villain! Presented yearly since 1936, Gold in the Hills features a relentless hero, a winsome heroine, a ruthless villain, beautiful can-can dancers, and the wilder side of city life in the infamous New York Bowery.

Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children, 12 and younger. We offer open seating, no reservations required, and always plenty of seats.

We are pleased to present a project to engage audiences and challenge writers, directors, and actors, the First Annual VTG Ten-Minute Play Project: Into the Woods. There will be only one opportunity to see original works that were written and rehearsed over a 24-hour period by the area's best talent: Saturday, April 10 at 7:30 p.m. Registration Forms are due by Monday, March 22, 2010. Please call 601-636-0471 for questions.

Regional Theatre Activities

This Property is NOT Condemned! The Bay St. Louis Little Theatre has taken the first step on its path to a new permanent home after being totally destroyed by Hurricane Katrina. The New John F. Holmes Theatre will be in a building known locally as the “This Property is Condemned” building, a building that was featured prominently in the 1966 film of the same name. Based (loosely) on a Tennessee Williams one-act play, the movie starred Natalie Wood and the devilish Robert Redford, and is believed to be the only movie filmed in Bay St. Louis. The Bay St. Louis Little Theatre broke ground on their new John F. Holmes Playhouse November 6, 2009.
